10. Troubleshooting

10.1 Wi-Fi Connection

10.1.1 Unable to Connect to Wi-Fi

Zical is designed to work with most Wi-Fi networks, but connection issues can sometimes occur. If your device cannot connect to Wi-Fi, try the steps below.

Quick Solution: Try a Different Network Forget the Wi-Fi network you are trying to connect to, then try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network or a mobile hotspot. This often resolves the issue.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting:

1. On the Wi-Fi selection screen, tap Reset at the bottom. 2. Try connecting the device to a mobile hotspot. This helps check whether the issue is with your home Wi-Fi network. 3. If the device connects, the issue is likely related to your router, signal strength, or network restrictions. If it does not, the issue may be related to the device or Wi-Fi compatibility. 4. If the issue is still not resolved, contact our support team and include photos if possible.

10.1.2 Can I connect to a public Wi-Fi network?

In some cases, Zical can connect to a public Wi-Fi network. If the network does not require additional steps, such as signing in or accepting terms of service, you may be able to connect normally.

If the public network requires additional authentication, Zical may not be able to complete that process directly. In this case, we recommend using a different Wi-Fi network or a mobile hotspot instead.

10.2 Third-Party Calendar Sync

10.2.1 Why does my one-way imported Apple Calendar show no events or incomplete events?

Apple Calendar may contain multiple separate calendars. When you export or share an ICS link for one calendar, it includes events from that calendar only. If that calendar has no events, the imported result will also be empty.

Quick Solution: Check the selected Apple calendar and import all calendars you want to sync.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting:

1. On your iPhone, Mac, or iCloud.com, open Apple Calendar. 2. Tap Calendars. 3. Turn individual calendars on or off. 4. Check each calendar one by one to confirm whether it contains events. If no events appear when a calendar is turned on, that calendar may be empty.

Zical currently supports calendar sync for Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, iCloud Calendar, Yahoo Calendar, Cozi Calendar, and TeamSnap.

If you are trying to import an ICS link from another calendar service and it does not work, please contact our support team to confirm whether that service is supported.

10.3 Time Zone and Weather Location

10.3.1 I can't find my time zone or location. What should I do?

Not all locations are available in the list. If your time zone does not appear, select the closest appropriate location in the same time zone. If your location is not available for weather, select a nearby city or contact our support team for help.

10.4 Account Email Issues

10.4.1 I used the wrong email address or forgot my Zical account email. What should I do?

If you signed up with the wrong email address or cannot remember the email address linked to your Zical account, please contact our support team for assistance. To help us resolve the issue faster, please include any email address you may have used when setting up your account.

10.5 Hardware Use

10.5.1 What should I do if the device is frozen or not responding?

If the device is frozen or not responding, unplug the power cable, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in to restart the device. If the issue is still not resolved, contact our support team and include photos if possible.
